Maryland School for the Deaf

The Maryland School for the Deaf is a home away from home for many of its students. Only one child at the school has deaf parents, leaving many students with a sense of isolation when they leave school. Over half of the children participate in the school's residential program, which creates a sense of belonging and strengthens the deaf community on campus.
