Felipe Toral Cruz walks down the street beside his Racine home to the Ohio River. He takes walks often, spending much time outside. The small house is crowded, holding six other adults and two children. Cruz came to the United States to earn money for his 3-year-old daughter Veronica and his family in Mexico. He lives in Racine with his wife, Edith Ruiz. The dangers of crossing the border inhibit the two from seeing their daughter. They plan to return to Mexico in a couple years, after saving more money.
