Jeremy Mabe, of Stoneville, N.C., sits for a portrait outside the motel he is staying at while in Lexington, Kentucky. Mabe works for Murray Paint, which paints water towers throughout the country, and will be on the rode three more weeks before making it home to North Carolina. He's not sure how his ear began to bleed. "I didn't know it was," Mabe said. "I probably backed up and cut it on something." Others joked with him about the black paint covering his face. "He looks like a panda bear," Matt Murray, also with Murray Paint, said of Mabe's appearance.
